I will be sharing some of my own favorite moments with Him on this page.

     I am finding it is my Lord's desire that I consider Him in all aspects of my life. He is anxious and willing to influence my behavior and words on a moment to moment basis. Amazing! So, why is it so hard to bring Him into my words and behaviors each moment? Oh, to know His grace and love in spite of my forgetfulness. I am so grateful to my Father Dear for His unfailing attention. He knows the plans He has for me and you, plans made long ago to bring Him pleasure. This is one of my favorite moments from summer 2008. Every summer I try to get an updated photo with my grandkids.

They energize me. Each is as unique as their expression. From ages 1-16 they delight me. It gives me a glimpse into the feeling the Lord has for each of us as His own. What a day it will be when we can gather at His feet.

My mother, Louise Thompson, led me into my speaking ministry and I will always be grateful for her encouragement.

THE WANDERING FLOCK

 The little lamb with the broken leg

Bound tight in a splinted cast,

Snuggled warm in the shepherd’s arms

Where she felt safe at last.

The wandering flock was bleating loud,

Daylight was almost gone…

But the gentle shepherd with crook in hand

Urged them to carry on.

“We’ve far to go,” his voice was stern.

“There is no time to waste,

Predators lurking along the way

Give reason to move with haste.”

Some obeyed and stayed on the path

And moved with a clear, steady eye.

Others continued to nibble the grass

And a few chose only to cry.

How like these sheep we sometimes are

When the Shepherd calls to us.

Some are quick to obey His voice

While others grow weary and fuss.

Our Shepherd will carry the hurting ones

Til all their fears are past……

But His heart breaks for those who choose

To keep right on nibblin’ the grass.

 I  asked my granddaughter Britnee to draw a picture of me with a microphone. She came up with this picture in minutes and  I  am so proud of her and it. Britnee is bright, creative, and full of the Spirit of the Lord. 

In March of 2005 the KISSES OF SUNSHINE series by Zondervan Publishing Company went on the market. Phyllis had 2 of her signature stories published in two of the publications.
