How to help your hurting friends

If You've Got the Bandage,                             Put it Right on the Hurt

As Christ followers, we are called to comfort one another, but often we don't act because we simple don't know what to do. Women exchange recipes that have been tested and approved, so why not  remedies that have been used for consoling friends?

From the history of the bandage to the variety found on the drug store shelves, I share a number of real stories of how friends have been touched by the kindness of being cared for by a friend. This is a great program for table discussion, Biblical application and creativity.

The Mystery of Your History

If His Eye is on the Puppy, then I Know He's Watching Me!

Lord can I Pass the Puppy Test? How can we know a puppy is trainable? Some are too feisty, others are too sluggish and some are eager to please. The three step "Puppy Test" gives insight into how easily trainable a playful puppy might be. Interestingly the same 3 steps were used by Jesus to bring us to a full and rich relationship with Him. Through canine comedy and crisis Phyllis reminds us that we need to pass the Puppy Test.

Watch Where You're Stepping! - "Thy Word is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet." This scripture came alive to me as I warned those walking in my front yard, at night, to beware---because of my dog. A light may show us a pathway to take, but the lamp shows us the obstacles along the way. There are many paths, but do we take advantage of using the lamp needed to keep us from tripping up? A look at lives that saw the "lighted path" and found the "guiding lamp" to make the journey successful.

Three Little Words

What can be said in three little words?

How can we describe ourselves and others in three little words?

How can the Lord change us with three little words?

This is a time to interact, introspect and intercede with each other to dig out those three word nuggets that can be claimed for His glory and our journey.

You are loved. I am sorry. He hurt me. Please marry me. Two become one.  I am leaving. Thank you friend. I love you.

I am pregnant. Come unto me. You're a promise. Feed my sheep.

The list can go on and on. With Biblical application, this one makes you think and challenge you to ...just want more.
