The following quotes are not an effort on my part to impress anyone, but to share how God can be effective in spite of who I am and what I might sometimes think of myself. It is my goal to focus on encouraging others and not on being important. "When Michelle read your info to us, we just knew you were the one God intended for this year's retreat. When we met you face to face, you again confirmed this. After all the speaking engagements you have done, you are so warm and personable, like a friend, not a stranger." Fulton Creek Friends Church " Phyllis Harmony is REAL! Our audience loved her warm, friendly manner and learned effortlessly while listening to her insightful presentation which was rich in personal (and often humorous) illustrations and based solidly on her professional expertise." Shirley Liechty, Administrative Assistant, Speak Up Speakers Services Port Huron, MI "Phyllis, thank you so much for providing a very informative and entertaining program. I know there were many benefits received from those in attendance. You are truly a gifted speaker in the way you capture the attention of your audience." Janet Sunderman, Vice President Delaware Co. Republican Women's Club "Phyllis' testimony touched many lives and lives were changed. Her warm and friendly personality made the weekend fun and personal. Phyllis shared words of wisdom and her insight for Christian women was powerful. She was the warmest, most personable speaker we've had in six years. Because of her genuine interest in the women, her messages were extremely effective." Wendy Lane, Church of the Redeemer, Gaithersburg, MD It was a pleasure to have Phyllis Harmony come to speak at our Women’s Christmas Tea this December. Phyllis presented her “Christmas Treasures” program which stirred up great memories and laughter for all of us. Phyllis has a way of making you feel like you are sitting in her living room listening to her stories. She also has the innate ability to show us God’s fingerprints on everyday life. Our event was a large outreach and Phyllis shared the message of hope, and of God’s saving grace in a beautiful way. Also, Phyllis did something which I believe was very unusual. During our dinner, Phyllis took the time to walk around from table to table, to the 300+ women who were there, and introduce herself and welcome them. She is authentic and it is evident in her love for all those she encounters. Karen Lane, Director of Women Ministries NW Bible Church, Hilliard, Ohio I just wanted to say thank you for coming to our young adult women's group. God used your words to touch deep into my soul and I am sure the souls around me as well. It was amazing how you touched on one of the greatest insecurities with such grace. Thank you so much. Jen K. Grace Brethren Church Our Tenth Annual Women of Grace Retreat was second to none that we have had. We could feel the presence of God and were blessed in so many ways throughout the day. Your personal stories brought the messages of Jesus right to us, giving us hope, challenges, and reassurances of how Jesus works in our lives. Your book of poetry deeply touched women. It was not at all surprising to read the evaluations of the day indicating their awe for lessons learned that day. One of our goals for the day was to offer the opportunity to deepen one’s personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. There was a strong affirmation from the ladies to this. Praise God! Joanne Snedden, Petosky, Michigan - Director of Women of Grace Retreat "The ladies who attended the luncheon had nothing but "high praise" for your talk, "Put the Band-ade Where It Hurts. " It meant so much to people on many different levels. They were all astounded at your high energy level and your positive message even with the setbacks you have endured." Kathy Thorpe, Cincinnati, OH "Thank you so much for your presentation, 'Health and Humor'. Not only did your stories cause laughter, but I saw "belly shaking" and yet the stories could have been of a disaster. And yet our Lord was present in all times." Barbara Enderle, Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, Columbus, Ohio "From Bandades to puppies Phyllis sees God in life's simplest themes. Her speaking allows her to combine her tender heart and bright smile with reality and amusement on the platform. Her humor makes taking an honest look at life and its lessons a feast of faith and joy. All of this comes from living out her own walk with God. Phyllis has chosen to live the life she didn't choose, and to plan a life she hadn't planned on." Marita Littauer, author, speaker, President of Class Speakers Services, Inc. Albuquerque, MN "While the ladies were eating, Phyllis went from table to table and introduced herself and visited with them . She enabled the women to see that no matter what your circumstances, God will sustain you if you put your trust in Him. I would rate her as an outstanding speaker" Julie Bono, First Evangelical Free Church, St. Louis, MO
